Great Weekend!

Isn't always sad when the weekend ends and you have to go back to work on Monday???

Well, we had a pretty good weekend. Jax is FINALLY starting to feel better again. He still has a cough, but no fever and no runny nose. YAY! He is also rolling over like a champ now. I thought this was the first time he had rolled from back to front, but Mammy said he did it last week - but she didn't tell us! We thought he was really close all week and he finally did it on saturday, now he's just rolling everywhere :) He had a very happy day on Sunday too. Laughing so much!

Saturday - Jax and I went to an ornament exchange with a bunch of other moms and babies and had a great time. So many cute babies in one place!! David went to the Hawks game b/c they were playing Cleveland. And after an 11 game winning streak - David and Steve jinxed them and they lost to Atlanta. BOO!! (HAHAHAH)

Sunday - David and I went with Danny and Lindsay to see Tim Hawkins at couples night out at church. He is SO funny. Check out his website... http://www.timhawkins.net/ I don't know that I've seen anyone that is family friendly that is as funny as him. David and I saw him last year as well...and can't wait to see him again!!

This is our last week of work. We leave next week for Ohio to see David's family and will be back after new years. But I will post pictures and updates while we are gone as well. I am looking forward to some time off :)

Happy Holidays Everyone!!!

Family Pictures

We got our pictures back and they are amazing. David is going to make a slideshow of them soon, but in the mean time, here are a few that weren't on the sneak peek that we really like!! Our main picture is also from that session.

Also - Here is a picture of our tree. It's pre-presents and topper, but wanted to share anyway...

Daddy is funny!!

David had Jax in giggles tonight...I managed to catch it on video. Baby laughter is the best sound in the world!!

Jax's first spoon fed meal...

Today Heather gave Jax his first bowl of Oatmeal w/ formula! She was nice enough to take some pictures of the experience. Not sure he enjoyed it, but he did help her out! How cute :)

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

We just want to wish everyone a Very Happy Thanksgiving 2008. We have had a big year and have so much to be thankful for. :)

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Hope you have a GREAT Turkey Day!!

Jax visits Santa!

We took Jax to visit Santa on Sunday. We had heard that the Santa at Phipps Plaza was THE Santa to go to, so we made an appointment in October. It was great - NO lines! And the Phipps Santa is amazing. He looks perfect and he is so great with the kiddies.

Jax did great. He sat there and did not cry at all. He even looked at Santa while Santa was reading Jax's Christmas wish list. Then he got tickled and smiled really big :)

Here are a couple of pictures that we took of Jax's first visit with Santa. (we haven't gotten our pictures from them yet...should get them this weekend!) I just love how mesmerized Jax looks :)

Jax is sick!!

Jax has had a cold for a while and this weekend it seemed to get worse. So we took him to the children's urgent care and they said he had bronchiolitis. No meds - just suctioning and humidifier.

Monday we went for his 4 month visit and he weights 13 pounds 3 oz and is 25 inches long!!

So Monday and early Tuesday he seemed to get better. Then Tuesday night/Wednesday he sounded worse. So I took him back to the dr Yesterday (Thursday) and found out he has Bronchial Pneumonia and an Ear Infection!!!

Poor little man :(

But he is so sweet. He still smiles and talks to us between coughing. He is such a sweet happy sick baby!!

Pictures are up!!!

This title has double meaning! I am so excited!!

A - Our family sneak peek is up online now. They are absolutely amazing. I am so thrilled with how they turned out. I can not wait to see the rest of them. You can check them out here: http://jodylynnphoto.com/blog/?p=590.

B - David has been playing around with photography since we got married and he is finally putting that camera to use! He took pictures of our friends at the pumpkin patch a few weeks ago. I think they turned out pretty good. You can check those out here: http://www.davidandstaci.com/Lasenyik/

We are hoping to start doing this regularly - so let us know if you are interested. Sessions will be pretty cheap to start out with so David can get practice and take even better pictures!!

I love this baby boy

Jax is over 3 months old now. He is getting so big. He is so alert and is constantly looking around. He seems to get happier every day. He has started to really recognize Mom and Dad and will watch us when we walk around the room.

He started getting to play in his Horsey Jumparoo this weekend. He can hardly touch the floor, but seems excited about being a big boy. He kicks and moves as much as he can. He LOVES the bath. We hardly have to drain the water because by the time he gets out he's kicked most of it out and onto Dad and Mom. We can't wait for him to be able to sit up by himself so he can start using his Duckie tub. :)

He has been to a few GT football games and he does GREAT! Here is a picture of Jax and Mommy at the VA game a few weeks ago.

He survived his first Halloween. Here is a picture of him hanging out at the pumpkin patch:

We got family pictures done this week and I can't wait to post some of them when they are ready! I hope to also have some of our other pictures ready to post soon as well. I'll just post a bunch of pictures and no commentary when I can :)

12 weeks old...

Jax turned 12 weeks old on Thursday. He is growing so fast. He laughs now. Not all the time - well hardly ever - but he can do it. On Friday, Andy W. got him giggling big time! We got a little video of it, but he was almost done, so I'm not gonna post it this time.

But, I will post a short video of Jax - ROLLING OVER! He hates to be on his tummy, so now he knows how to change that. Take a peek...

Mommy and Daddy are so proud of our little munchkin!!

Jax's first girlfriend

Tonight we went to watch Daddy play softball. Well, we didn't watch as much softball as we did just hanging out and chatting. Jax chilled in the grass for a while and got to hang out with Lexi. Here is a video of them...aren't they cute!! Lexi is about 5 months old.

Jax talks to Daddy

Here is the cutest conversation between Jax and Daddy. Our baby is so smart :)

On another note - I made it through my first full week at work last week. I was so busy that it flew by. Jax is doing awesome at daycare. He gets to go on walks and go to the park and play with other kids. He loves it.

New pics and video of Jax...

We got a new Flip camcorder on Friday and we LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! Here is one of the many videos we took of Jax this weekend. I'm so excited to be able to post these :)

We also took some new super cute pictures of Jax recently. Here are a few of my faves. The rest will be up on the website soon.

First day of Daycare...

Jax started daycare today. He goes to an in home daycare. Right now he is one of three kids and will be the only baby (under 1) she will take. She said he had a great day :)

I missed him more today than I did when he stayed with David on Thursday and Friday last week.

After I picked him up, we went to the park and walked a lap around the fields. It was very hot. He is very happy tonight as well. I think he really enjoyed his first day. It makes me feel even more comfortable leaving him there.

2 Month Dr Appt

What a sad day!! Shots are no fun at all. I have never seen or heard Jax cry more than he did when he got his 3 shots today. It was heartbreaking.

He now weighs 10 lbs 7 oz. He is 22 inches long. He is in the 40-45 percentile for his size. Not too shabby.

I start back to work tomorrow. Two sad days in one week. Whew :(

6 weeks old...

Jax is 6 weeks old today. I can't believe it. If you've been keeping up with the pictures on our website, you'll see how much he's changed in such a short time. Now if we can just get him sleeping more at night we'd be golden!!

Last week we took Jax on his first plane ride. We went to California for Danny & Susan's wedding. he was great on the plane and at the wedding. Here are a couple pictures from the trip...

Jax getting ready for the beach...

Huntington Beach:

And here is a picture of Jax after a bath. Isnt' he the cutest elephant ever??
David will post more on our website soon. Including some from the wedding. It was gorgeous. The bride and groom looked perfect - just like the day they picked to get married :)

Pre Baby...

So being pregnant was interesting. The first 3 months were so hard. I felt sick all the time. David really helped me a lot during this time since I didn't feel like cooking or eating or anything. He was a trooper. The 2nd three months were the best. I didn't feel sick, I got some energy back. I started feeling the baby move. It was all so neat. But so weird. I had a tiny person growing inside me. As natural as I knew that was, it was what other people did, not me. I had a lot of fears that I wasn't meant to carry a baby and something would be wrong. I guess that is normal, but I couldn't help but always wonder how everything would turn out.

We hit a bump around 26 weeks. I started having pre-term contractions and spent a few days at the hospital for monitoring. Luckily everything was ok. The doctors kept a close eye on me the rest of my pregnancy. We got to have lots of extra ultrasounds of our baby - so I can't complain too much. My contractions never stopped, but Jax was never in danger of coming out early. We finally had to go in and get him!!

Due to the issues I was having and the pain from the pressure of him, I was induced about a week early. Jackson Tyler Josef was born on 7/24/08 at 11:39 p.m. He weighed 7 pounds and 4 ounces. He was perfect.

That is the short and sweet of our pre-baby pregnancy time. His full birth story is on our website on the About Us page.

Finally!!

I started this blog site before Jax was born. It's amazing how crazy things can get with a new baby.

I am excited to get started with this. There is so much to share about being new parents. Thoughts, Pictures, etc.

I promise I will start posting more very soon...including back story to get caught up till now, but it's time for my baby to eat, then bedtime (I hope!!).

See you soon!!!
