Hello

I just wanted to post really quickly. I need to update with more pictures soon. We went to the aquarium a week ago and got some cute pictures and got to see a new exhibit. I will write more about that soon!!

Jax is so full of energy. He goes 100 mph 24 hours a day. I wish I had just a tiny bit of that energy. Wow!! He also seems to be growing overnight. He's so little and I love it, but today he seemed taller. :)

He's still talking up a storm. It's a shame I can't understand most of it. He "talks" and I'll ask him what he said he'll say it again...and it sounds EXACTLY the same as before. He knows what he's saying...and it means something. One day I'll figure it out...I hope. hahah.

He is in bed now and I miss him. I want to hug and kiss him. He doesn't usually have much time for that...only when he first gets up from a nap will he really snuggle with us. And kisses are few and far between. But they are the best kisses. Definitely worth waiting for.

Ok. That is all for now. Just felt I needed to do a little update. I am hoping to post about the aquarium visit this week as well.

Loss of a friend

I wanted to take a minute to say a special goodbye to a friend.

I am a part of an online message board. I have been for a few years and have come to know many of the girls personally and consider them great friends.

One of these girls passed away today. She has been battling Crohn's disease and has had several complications. She wasn't able to fight through the last one and died early this morning.

I am so so so sad. I can't imagine what her husband is going through. It makes me ache that her daughter will never know her mother.

My thoughts and prayers go out to them and her family. Please say a prayer for them too.

Shelly - you will be greatly missed.

Santa and the Pink Pig

We had a VERY busy day today. After a great service at church and a nap (by Jax) we headed to the ATL. We took Jax to his 2nd annual Santa @ Phipps visit and to ride the Pink Pig.

I didn't know how he would do with Santa.. I figured he'd either lay his head on his shoulder and love him (he does this with people he doesn't know) or scream. He chose option B.

As I did with the Pumpkin pics I want to post his picture from last year, then I'll post the ones from this year.

Jax - 4 months:

Now here are the ones from today...Jax is almost 16 months. Look how big (once you stop laughing at the screamer)!!

After we got done visiting with Santa we headed across the street to ride the Pink Pig. It was a first for all three of us. Jax liked it once it started moving. He isn't a fan of being still. After the ride we stopped in to the Apple Store and Jax geeked out a bit. Here are the pics from that...

New Videos

Ok, I know I'm not updating as often as I should. I'm sorry!!! Some quick stats and then I have 3 cute videos to share...

First of all, I want to say CONGRATS to my brother Danny and his new WIFE Lindsay!! They got married this past weekend and we are all so excited to welcome her to the family. :)

Now...Jax went for his 15 month appt a couple weeks ago. He weighed 20.5 pounds and was 29 inches tall. He's still in the 3rd/6th percentile for those and his head is still big. hahah. He has 3 new teeth and I think he's working on a 4th. He has a ton of new words and now has a vocabulary of close to 30 words and makes a few different animal sounds when he sees that animal. He also "talks" constantly - as you'll see in the videos I'll post. He is just so smart and picks up so much it's incredible. He isn't a biter, thank goodness, but has a tendency to hit mommy and daddy. When we tell him NO, and to be nice he'll start poking our eye and say "eye, eye, eye". It's cute, but hurts!!! He knows where his belly is and his nose, but doesn't say it.

He also likes band aids. He calls them boo boos but I don't think he knows what a real boo boo is. But he likes a band aid on from time to time. He even gets upset when it falls off and wont' stick anymore. hahahha!

Ok...I can't think of anything else right now so on to the videos...

Video #1 - Jackson's new word is Flower. He will point to them now and say it over and over. Here he is playing with some artificial ones...




Video # 2 - Daddy and Jax are having a conversation. Except I think Jackson is replying in Chinese. :)




Video #3 - Jax - up close and personal. :) He really amuses himself sometimes!!



Did you notice his "boots"?? Those are mommy's monkey socks that he wanted to wear. HA!!
